our mission

Using interactive challenge boxes and engaging “zines,” Stemmies aims to educate and inspire future generations to use STEAM to create solutions to global issues.

+ According to the US Department of Labor, STEM careers are predicted to grow by 8.8% between 2017 and 2029.
+ In 2023, it was reported that 29.2% of the STEM workforce is comprised of women of 146 nations evaluated.
+ 74% of middle school girls express an interest in science, engineering, and math, but only 0.4% pursue computer science as a major in college.
+ Black workers make up 11% of the US workforce, but represent 9% of STEM workers. Latinx workers make up 16% of the US workforce, but only 7% of all STEM workers.

Using an engaging twist on traditional STEAM education, Stemmies aims to provide accessible, high-quality educational content to all communities. By bridging gaps in STEM and extending an educational focus towards global change and empowerment, Stemmies strives to cultivate global change with an optimistic outlook on the future.
